Instead, he stated that Ryan, if he eventually does announce his retirement, he will be known for ending his career with the Indianapolis Colts rather than as a member of the Falcons. Shapiro believes signing one-day contracts to retire with a specific NFL team is foolish since players are never remembered in that way. “Maybe he’s waiting for a phone call from Arthur to say, ‘Hey, if you want to retire a Falcon, we can make that happen,’” he suggested. The idea that Ryan isn’t done on the field was somewhat questionable to those on The Steakhouse, including on-air personality Drew Butler. “Because he’s got those three kids and he’s got to get out of the house,” joked co-host Sandra Golden. He was talking about, ‘I need a regular gig.’” “What he was saying – he wasn’t talking about playing quarterback. I need to work,’” Shapiro recalled Ryan stating. “It was kind of like, ‘I’m years old, man. In Atlanta, 92.9 The Game morning host Steak Shapiro revealed that he had recently conversed with Ryan and was not surprised by his move to sports media, although Ryan made it clear that he is not retiring from playing football. While the details of his schedule are not yet known, it has been confirmed that he will be providing analysis for The NFL Today, NFL Monday QB, That Other Pregame Show and CBS Sports HQ, along with commentating on games. On Monday morning, CBS Sports announced that it had added quarterback Matt Ryan to its rotation of studio and live game analysts for the NFL on CBS. Kaplan is expected to continue with 1090, and considering he’s not live on the station it’s certainly possible southern California listeners could hear two different shows on two different frequencies at the same time. Kaplan currently fills the 3 – 6pm hours on the San Diego radio station with his pre-recorded podcast. For nearly two decades Kaplan was a focal point of sports radio in San Diego, and he’s continued to be that since The Mightier 1090 relaunched last summer. The veteran sports radio host is a longtime fixture in Southern California, but he’s still relatively new to his Los Angeles audience. Kaplan moves to PM drive after hosting nights on ESPN LA when he isn’t preempted by the Lakers. 8, when Kaplan completes the new trio which fills the station’s 4 – 7pm block. The change is set to take place next Monday, Feb. They should make a new award at the Mandy awards, call it BIGGEST BABY at 710, the award should be a large pacifier and then give the award to Sadano.Six months after joining the lineup on 710 ESPN Los Angeles, longtime sports radio host Scott Kaplan is being added to their afternoon drive show alongside Jorge Sedano and LZ Granderson. First off, Sadano should have just spoken for himself instead of trying to rally support around him with "I'm Cuban bro, Latino people don't do that alright" secondly you can tell that it pissed off Sadano that Ireland agreed with Kap because a couple of minutes later he said: "even Ireland can't defend that one" I only listen to Kap and Sadano during crosstalk with M&I so I don't know if they go at each other like that all the time on their show but in that little exchange, Sadano was being a BIG Baby. Ireland agreed with Kap and then Ireland changed the subject on to another topic, a couple of minutes later Kap miss heard something and Sadano snaps back at Kap, "What the hell is wrong with you? even Ireland can't defend that one." Sadano told Kap that because Sadano didn't like that Kap told him "in 3 years you're going to drop your whole East coast/Miami yelling and screaming at everybody thing." Sadano then went into a rant saying "NO, the difference is I'm Cuban bro, Latino people don't do that alright, I'm ain't gonna be someone I'm NOT!" That happened during Thursday's crosstalk with M&I.
